๐Ÿ”€ What is Para Jumble?

A Para Jumble (Sentence Rearrangement) question gives you a set of sentences โ€” labelled P, Q, R, S, T โ€” that together form a coherent paragraph. These sentences are presented in a shuffled order and you must arrange them into the correct logical sequence. This type of question appears in almost every major competitive exam: SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, CAT, and CLAT.

The 5-Step Strategy
Step 1Read all sentences quickly. Get a feel for the topic and the general flow.
Step 2Identify the opening sentence. It introduces the subject without pronoun references or connector words.
Step 3Identify the closing sentence. It often contains conclusion connectors: "Hence", "Therefore", "Thus", "Ultimately", "In conclusion".
Step 4Look for mandatory pairs. Sentences that must go together due to pronoun reference ("it", "they", "this", "these") or cause-effect logic.
Step 5Eliminate using options. Match your partial order against the given choices to eliminate impossible sequences quickly.
